Leilani Mroczkowski

Leilani is an earthworker from a long lineage of earthworkers in the Philippines and in Poland. They’ve been cultivating their relationship with the earth for over a decade as a healer, community organizer, urban farmer, educator, and landscaper.

Their dream is to cultivate a space of spiritual fulfillment and of resilience. OnIy through changing our relationship with nature, with ourselves and with one another will we make the changes necessary for our survival and wellbeing.

They are proud of the work that they have done as an environmental justice community organizer fighting alongside Black, brown, immigrant, disabled, elderly, and youth community members for our collective liberation. They bring the lessons they’ve learned about community to Kasama Farm.

Jihelah Greenwald

Jihelah was raised on Chinook land. She’s grounded in her identities as a queer, Filipinx, Jewish farmer from the rural U.S.

She’s grateful to the diverse community of organizers, farmers, and healers on Wampanog and Nipmuc land who supported her growth as an activist and land tender.

Coming into 2024, Jihelah is excited for a fourth year of digging around in the corner of the valley where Kasama Farm is nestled. And to grow and deepen with other BIPOC eaters, farmers, and seedkeepers in the Portland area and the Mid Columbia Gorge.

Continuing into 2024, ceasefire now.

Nae Nilo

My name is Nae (they/she) and I’m a queer, mixed Fil-Am. Its my second season farming with Kasama to feed our community and it fills my heart! I enjoy music, sharing food and stories with others, watching birds, and laying in the sun. Essentially, I aspire to live the life of a farm cat.

The act of tending to land continuously teaches me that agro-ecology, class struggle, and food sovereignty are interconnected. I’m nourished by learning and growing alongside mga kaibigan ko.
