Community Crush: The Filipino Bayanihan Center

The Filipino Bayanihan Center on SE Morrison feels like a warm hug. It's easy to drop by and end up staying all day long at the cozy center. You might find some kasamas playing the guitar or ukelele, singing karaoke, or hosting teach-ins to inform our kababayan on the Philippine elections and how they can vote. You'll definitely be welcomed by a loving group of people ready to help you out accessing resources both here in the greater-Portland area and back at home in the Philippines. They've got a wonderful group of interpreters who are able to work with you in Tagalog, Cebuano, Waray, and more!

We’re also sad to leave our friends during this time when cross-country travel is challenging and look forward to reuniting for a long walk and summer swim.
